The VPN cannot be used

Here try this,
Login with VPN in launcher
When Star Menu in game appear, disconnect your VPN
Then after you in Server Selection, reconnect your VPN, thats it

 

I don't think that would work wherein If the devs blocked proxy servers and VPN users from playing the game he won't still be able to log in. "IF"

 

I have tried it, But not long. Will be kicked off the server
