There is no snow

Hey Community,
i have no snow ingame. I patched everything and even repaired the game but nothing helped.
My girlfriend got the same client settings and at her there is snow. What do i do wrong?

maybe check your game graphic settings ?
And if they are the same as your girlfriend, please check your graphic card panel, like Nvidia Panel e.g.

And i checked my graphic card panel but i don't know how this can effect the snow ingame? i got a better setup than my gf so why should she have snow and i don't?

 

Tell me you graphic card model please?

Also if it is AMD try a beta Driver, and same for Nvidia, try a different driver version instead a experience automatic one.

 

i got a AMD Radeon RX 5700 XT

 

Newest AMD driver works without issues. And im only on a RX 570. So no need to get beta drivers.

 

Snow will only appear if your graphic settings are medium or higher (afaik.) - Also know that is appears randomly as well

 

i play on remastered with high texture quality ^^

i tried with low/middle/high settings too but nothing worked

 

Yes the issue is not from the graphic card or any other component, the issue normally can be from incompatible components, i believe.

So, if he got same settings on both PCs it should have same result as his pc is more powerful.

So, i guess is driver issue, without knowing for sure. But testing with new driver versions can always be best then change game to lower quality to see the snow, if that the case.

yes you right not snowing all the time. Sometimes are not snowing

i thought i found the problem but i didn't.. i updated my graphic card driver and played around with the ingame graphic settings but still not one snow flake ._.

 

Not always, but it happens a lot on xmas events.
Have you turned on the option "snow buildup"? Check it.

 

i dont play the game in english but you mean the option in the quality section which activates slowly melting snow and in safe areas they build piles of snow; right?

if we speak about the same thing - yes i turned that on

 

Check your settings and see if there's any optimization setting on.

 

there were some set.. i turned them off and nothing changed

i even restarted the game but still nothing

 

check if it actually stays ticked off.
For some reason, whenever i start the game, optimization is on, despite me having it turned off last time.

 

Just recheck it as @lumoz said. Before closing and opening the game again, try changing characters or channels or go for character selection and login back, then close and up your game to see if the settings has been saved.

 

I checked it a couple times now - it didn't reset while restarting the client, relogging or switching the char

and still no snow

 

Same issue, i tried everything and there is no snow

 

Maybe its not an issue of setup

could it be that something went wrong in the data base so we can't see weather changes anymore?

Is the weather given by the server you're on or does every account got his own weather?

 

I tried my account on another pc, its snowing xd
I will try to reinstall the game.
