This Server

You guys have some very serious issues on this server, why it open to players is beyond my comprehension, hardly none of the guards work in Besfer village and as far as I can see NONE of the guards in Primum Fortress work at all, they aggro Ely and do absolutely nothing, I got killed 4 times just try to inside the fort only to find out that guards inside don't work either! Do you guys really think this the way to open and run a server?? I mean really do you? I thought this server was a good server and was considering doing donations but after trying to level and do things that I should be able to do I have realized that my money would be totally wasted here, sorry but you guys missed the boat here, try hiring a REAL programmer that knows what they are doing and close this server down before you get the rep I have already given to it and lose any chance to be a true success!

 

The rep you have already given to it? You sir created a QQ thread, not a suggestion. This server has successfully been open two years, you're very dull if you think its going to shut down just because YOU think its a bad server.

While your criticisms are appreciated I find them to be somewhat exaggerated.

Guard agro and consistency issues are something I will admit has been sporadic throughout the development of Gamez, some updates fix them and some break them - that's just the way of life. If this leads to Obelisk spawncamping we tend to intervene directly and I've been known to frequently create temporary working guards to protect obelisks in these scenarios.

Programmers have very little to do with configurations in the npc_templates.xml file quite frankly, it's simply work that no one has time to do with more pressing bugs and implementations that need to be addressed. Especially with 2.6 coming out.

Gamez's reputation is fine regardless of the dramatic inflections you've chosen to put into your text, if we were going to die we probably would have a year or two ago when we started eh? Instead Gamez has simply continued to grow in both community activity and concurrent users across our three main Aion realms.

Feedback is welcome, doomsaying is not. Something to bear in mind.

 

Gamez has not just one Aion server but 2 of them open now for over a year. Considering that a lot of pservers shut down after only a matter of months - tbh I'd say this server is a true success despite some of the buggs, etc.
