time to even things up?

oh dont even get me started on the amount of freaking gladiators in this server. its by far the most easy class to play next to sorc. its the same in retail. once everyone got wind of how much they pwn vs the amount of actual skill it takes to actually play one, there was a sudden influx of gladiators and sorcs being made. and in here its 100 times worse because its auto learn! but thats for another thread, lol.

 

Low skilled glads are everywhere... i am disapointed.

I roll a Glad because it can virtually wear any kind of armor in Aion.

 

ummm why would you wear anythine other than plate? dont be a durp.

Plus, glads wearing chain is pretty much unaffected by magic classes (if they know what to do, that is)

 

Why not a templar?

 

Had a good time leveling up with a temp back in IA days *shivers*

Plus temps can't use polearms, whereas Glads use almost everything.

 

Leveling a templar in 200x exp conditions really doesn't take that long.

 

im not sure if a stigma system is the answer. i believe taking certain skills out completely would work better. or a damage reduction.

problem is, this game is built entirely for group pvp. so many people think they are the shit cause they can go around 2 shotting people solo, but seriously, where is the fun in that?
the only time i enjoy this game is when its 6v6 or 12v12 or whatever number. when you have to communicate with people in order to win and be aware of your surroundings. while its possible for a support class to win against a dps cannon class, its really not likely based on how the game was made. each class has a purpose in a group setting. idk im stoned and having a hard time putting into words what i mean but im sure you get the point.


what they really need in this server is a group battle ground instance. if they spent more time coding that vs other things, they could make it happen. i believe that for sure.

it would solve so many problems. if not all of them lol.

I can't stand group pvp lol. Being able to use 2 skills on a target before it dies to everyone else. Usually my groups are stornger than the others and there's no fun even pvping I like the challenge and rush of solo pvp. (it's easier too when playing an asmo due to all of their op skills compared to elyos >.>

 

True, but who knows, you can hide lot of things in the skill code and check if it's elyos, multiply the damage by 0.3124, then Math.ceil(dmg);

Bad luck, Koreans don't know how to make other classes good, look at assassins most of their skill have horrible cooldowns, they're supposed to be fast, not that slow.

Ncsoft has a lot to learn from Gravity Inc, the experts @ making assassins || rouge classes.

 

right well thats the difference between a blood hungry unskilled player vs someone who enjoys tactic and challenges.

 

Assassins are fine....the only cds I know off that are "long" are OOA, Deadly Focus, and Blind Burst. The other skills are on par with every class in terms of usefulness.

 

Yeah I know the possibilities and all, but I've seen the code myself before and the last time I checked the only major tweaks that could disrupt any balance were ABG sets getting bonuses and the chain set getting the best of them all for clerics.

 

Depending on gear those descriptions can easily be reversed \o/

 

Abg sets aren't even supposed to have bonus, and their missing a lot of extra stats. I mean look at the leather set, it's supposed to have added mr on every armor piece just like the chain set. Also if they took out the bonuses like on retail then everyone with abg wouldn't have 9999999999 hp.

 

Thats why I'm mentioning its a tweak
