Lol Retail Players have an advantage yeh, but someone who never played retail should stop sucking after 2-3 weeks at the game unless their completely disgusting lol... Never playing Retail is no excuse

On this server you level so fast that you barely have time to check out every new skills and you need to do a lot of duels ect. to fully understand how every skill works. In retail you learn this while you are leveling :whistling:

Btw Sheytane ( Mr' pikachu) is one of the rare sorc's to beat me, so he has a pretty good idea, if that's what you're on about, otherwise - forget what i just said.

99% of the sorce's here have no idea that they're actually playing sorc'.

1.)
- Magic boost cap is non-existant here and it is very easy for even the most brain retarded, spineless, incapable nitwit to hit like 3.3k magic boost. Plug that into the magic boost formula and you have huge effects happening to the spell power.

- All stigma's... what kind of an utter JOKE is that? On retail I had favoured sleeping storm build for it's survival... where flamespray gave us a huge burst ability which was highly complimented by our two timed explosions while a target was tree'd... this give's the sorcerers (don't even get me STARTED on the new advanced stigma's) access to very powerful abilities, one's that even make up for the lack of magic accuracy these nitwit's are running around with... more or less sorcerer's gain the equivalent of a focused evasion x2 with the ability to remove status affliction, the ability to buff up their stat's with the newly added adv stigma, the ability to reflect 1 frigging k damage ontop of the robe of cold effect...


which btw stack's with robe of fire and robe of earth... which it is NOT supposed to. And yeah... sorcerer's gain a complete circle of abilities to ensure their survival on one tree.. and also have access to infinate pewpewzillagoddamnyougotfacerolled on the other... *twitch*

No, it is not easy to kill a SMART sorcerer. Did no one ever teach anyone that say's this comment, (so easily!!!!), the very VITAL and very importaint philosophy of the attack avoided is far greater the advantage of the attack endured?

-Stoneskin
-Sleep
-Tree
-Root
-Insta slow's
-Multiple stuns (as of this new patch)
-Illusion storm
-Sleep cloud for christ sake
-illusion -avoid thingy!
-AoE root/slow's

oh and the new big whopper to that list:
-People pissing themselves at the thought of attacking you since you just popped off wintry armor.

What my point is... a sorcerer who know's their class and how to utilize their arsenal of abilities is virtually UNTOUCHABLE. PERIOD. END OF STORY.

A scrub sorcerer who is like "Durhurr HURP DERP NARBS HURHRURHA flame spray flamespray flamespray HAUEAHEUAH GLACIAL SHARD EHAUIEAHEUAEHA oohh mai gawdd inferno FIERNBEIRNINFEROINFERONFEINRFERO GLADICAIL SHARD HEAUEAHEUAH"

Does not, and thus IS paper.

The better analogy to refer to a sorcerer is that they are, indeed, paper... but with a skilled paper the enemy is like fire attacking paper drenched in oil. Just doesn't effect the paper.








3.) Actually, if the sorcerer utilizes their abilities to their maximum potential ontop of kiting the fool down the entire concept of the player even POSSIBLY being in control of themselves is out of the question. It is a non-factor.

Before Aion was released I remember releasing a cute little guide on sorcerer's and the "toolbox" method of play... have people forgot already from guide's released in September the idealology of CONTROLED BURSTING? *facedesk HARDDDDD*







4.) a.) Blind leap is a small disadvantage in my opinion, it was very useful -no doubt, but its use usually required the sorcerer to put themselves in harm's way for a fool's gamble. Also since this server is free-fly the only real use of blind leap would be to zip back up to where you were falling before... similar to if someone stun's you as you are falling. A player well-versed in sorcerer should easily be able to counteract the entire possibility of this move being a game-breaker... especially when both stigma tree's are avaliable.

b.) Doesn't even work properly for anyone else, not really a big deal imo.

c.) Actaully that DP that is supposedly broken... according to all these people who never have played retail a day in their life.. is working exactly how it used to before, in retail. Likewise, it did change a little while ago... but it's only an hour cooldown thing so it's trivial... like cleric's WoD.

This doesn't stop the fact that the sorcerer can now push out so much damage in such a short period of time that nothing could truly hold them back, nor the fact that they also get an entire arsenal of survival tool's at their disposal ontop of everything else. Pretty much sorcerer's are a completely round class now... incredible DPS I couldn't imagine any cleric on this world handling, multiple buff's to reduce casting time ontop of their weapon's getting -19% casting time (which cleric's / chanter's do NOT get), magic accuracy buff from the glacial tree to ensure that anything and eevrything they cast hit, an array of instant cast move's worthy of making one splurt vomit from their very asshole and now they even get a spammable stun ability... this is all perfectly FUCKED because the sorcerer class is a CONTROL class. Sorcerer's lock down people and set them up to go*keboom*.


Flamespray was insane enough, glacial shard pushes that past the line.

Controlled burster, is OP now.

once i killed off a ally camping dred with my sorc but i bet you cant do that without some skills(played retail for 10 months) what i am try to say is that sorc's can be OP if you know how to play with them but if you dont know you will prob die very quick so most sorcs know what they are doing

 

The only people who will tell you that a Sorcerer or Ranger or (when their skills actually work) a Spirit Master arent OP, are the scrubs who play those classes as mains.

Yes, a sorcerer is a glass cannon. that means in a 1 on 1, if they know you're there you dont stand a chance. several instant cast hard hitting skills that proc stuns 100% of the time that can be combo'd into CC or other hard hitting nukes = 100% loss rate. no matter what.

Sorcerer is OP.

you die slower against a sorc than against a ranger/sm though, fact. Our CCs are not for pvp that you cannot just pew pew glacial shard on a CCed target and expect it would nuke. SM CCs are.
But hey yes, I admit its real hard to kill a sorc that knows how to play now with melee classes :>
Side note: blind leap and Wintry armor is not working yet, so save these QQ til those get patched ok?
