I don't think a lot of them get shut down, or else this would be the first to fall.
Yeah, I read on the retail forums a lot about it being too much of a hassle to shut them down for the same reasons.

Still, that was the initial reason for calling it donations instead of purchases.

They call it "Donations" for that loophole but if the government and/or retail company is really determined then that won't save the servers or the owners of the servers. Retail companies take different stances on Pservers like this. Some hate them and try to get them shut down as soon as they find out, others only do it for certain instances. For a time Blizzard shut down only the private WoW servers that charged a monthly fee, and then they moved on to shut down 1 or two of the bigger ones and try to hold the owners financially responsible for everything.

Also some don't shut them down because in the long run it really won't help as it will just clear out the competition for other people to set up their servers and start the process over again which is why more and more MMOs are either moving to the new F2P model or starting with F2P to begin with.

the real problem was when ppl accept 2500/part for the worst, crap and dissapoint set like TAC OFFICER, if those fool ppl dont pay that for crap items they wil not allowed to do more OP prices. we just can accept good prices for good items. For me 3k for each part of ACD is OP

i just wish that they would even a small portion of the money they get from all the donations into improving the system that hosts the server. i used to have a constant 60-90 ping but now its 210 - god knows how high when there are asmos on my screen. and that is the reason i stopped donating.

unless they do something to improve the performance of the server i might donate again..

You still don't get it do you?

The reason why I'm absolutely dissappointed is with how the servers have turned out to be. Firstly, how can you or anyone say you feel sorry for raising the prices from $25 to $30 dollars, if anything you're probably all thrilled to do so, and that you know there will actually be unfortunate players out there whom will put the money forth to actually get the sets.

You even stated yourself, remember, you did, that ACD would not be coming out anytime soon, due to bugs etc, etc. Which prompted many players into investing within EAC instead, only to have ACD sets being introduced less then a month later, only temporary however for an even greater price then EAC.

That's downright lying to the community in the face, and this wasn't the first time. Do you remember the WoC incident? "We won't be introducing WoC Lvl 2" only to have it brought into the special shop a few months after many people (including myself) had used our credits to obtain the WoC Lvl 1.

So stop acting like I or many others here don't have any justification as to why we feel deceived by you higher-ups. You say one thing, but then do another, you raise prices, and yet the server still sits at over 100932480948 bugs, you people say this is Free to Play, and yet you decreased drop rates to a snails part. I've seen only Two Pacification item drops with VIP status...TWO. Just look at how dead the Core is, and that used to be a central PvP stage because Elder equipments used to have a decent drop ratio there, but now it's laughable.

You people have also made the majority of the higher graded dropped armor/weapons being only exchangeable VIP status which in turn practically forces people into having to become VIP every month.

This in turn only favors those who pay to play on here, and this isn't even about obtain EAC or ACD, it's just those who simply want items from BT or what not, but can't trade them to friends/new legion members unless they too are VIP. Do you even realize what ACD has done to the economy in terms of trades, some of the ratios of trading EAC/ABG/NCC for a single ACD is outrageous now, and less then a month ago, we had a terrible hit already with EAC, and had just slightly started to recover.

Basically put, you can't have the full experience of Gamez unless you're willing to pay, or vote like crazy. The fact remains, all of these high price inflation and yet we're still stuck with numerous bugs, low drop rates and all of these other nonsense.

For one set of ACD not including jewels if you didn't bother would be $180. So basically that's the cost of a good graphics card which is what your implying, and more importantly, where out of any of that money obtain is actually going towards upgrading or improving the server? Now if we saw consistent growing number ratios or consistent patches, fixes, then I would probably be slightly more lenient (although $30 a piece has no justification whatsoever other then greed), however we don't even have that at least.

Matter of fact, you may like to think that we're just thinking you higher-ups are these "evil" people and all. However, I will be as clear as day to you and everyone else who does have control over these matters. You put yourselves in this position within the first place. Again, you think raising prices from $20, to $25 and now $30 wouldn't raise eyebrows from the community, then you proceed to lie to our faces and then we notice that there is a decline in the overall game instead of improvements?

Oh yeah, without a doubt you'll see people come up and say something.

You completely ignored my original reply to this thread that responded to every single concern you just raised yet again.

Clearly this thread is more about sensationalist whining to try garner some dramatic podium rather than actually attempting to achieve anything resembling a discussion. It reads like propaganda.

Thread's over, infractions inc for those who were unnecessarily abusing eachother throughout.
