    American History X is great. Watch Gran Torino for a movie that's very similar to it. Plus, it has Clint Eastwood ;D.

    I watched 2001, and it was the only Kubrick film I didn't enjoy. It's drawn out, and while I appreciate how he puts music to the stunning visuals, it takes too long. In the second act, with HAL, I started to get into it, but the final act is just so trippy and nonsensical that I couldn't stand it. In retrospect, I get the idea of the monolith being sent by God/Aliens to help "evolve" humans, but still.

    @Archsatan, what a taste. What a taste.

    I have, they're great, but not nearly as good for me to mention.

    Too much of anything is bad. Watch it 7 times and you sure won't feel the same about just about any movie. Especially one that has only been out for such few years. I could say that I've seen the first Matrix thirteen times and still love it, but that's watching it like once a year since the movie came out.

    My opinion of course.

    To each his own, but I completely disagree about the rewatch test. The mark of a truly great movie is that, every time you see it, it seems like a new movie. All of the movies on my list are like that. I'm not saying watch it again right after seeing it, but Shawshank Redemption is on TV 24/7. I've seen it a ton. I have seen Schindler's list a bunch of times also, and every time I see it, I notice something new. I watch It's a Wonderful Life every holiday season, and it never gets old.

    Even the new Batman movie, the Dark Knight Rises, gets better after seeing it again. I never even noticed Bane knitting/playing with a thread in the court scene until my 3rd time watching it. It becomes a really cool scene once you notice that (if you've read Tale of Two Cities). Which I point you to do because you claimed Nolan's Batman movies aren't as intellectually stimulating as Inception. While TDKR may be called Batlas Shrugged (you see what I did there ;D), it's equal parts Dickensian and comic-book-ish. Like I said, Tale of Two Cities was referenced throughout the whole movie, and lots of portions of it were social commentary. TDK is the same way, except with Hamlet instead of Tale of Two Cities. TDK is very philosophical if you think about it ;o.

    To those of you that have horror movies in your list, have you seen the Shining, Psycho, the Thing, Alien, the Exorcist, the Cabinet of Doctor Caligari, etc.? Lots of you reference newer movies, so I was curious. If you haven't, you should definitely check them out. The effects may be dated, but the atmosphere is still extremely intense. Psycho may have cheesy kill scenes (in my opinion), but the last few images of Norman Bates haunt me to this day.

    I wish I could say top 100, but that'd be impractical ;P.

    I respect your opinion, it's just that there's so much I hate about Project X, its sad depiction of an American/youth culture in the gutters, the unoriginal use of handheld cameras/found footage which pisses me off, etc.

    Once again, respect your opinion, just trying to explain why I started to interrogate you ;P. I'm not "old" either, you should check out my top 10 or even the top 10s of other people's here. Lots of great movies ;D.
