    That or go back to the place where you bought it from and ask them to replace it if you still have the bills and whatnot. Don't they also give you a certificate or some insurance of the RAM that guarantees it'll last for at least a couple of months?

    You can just say you got the wrong one by a mistake and ask them to replace it. If you provide all the things they gave you when you bought it (assuming it was recently), they might change it for you. It's worth a shot. ^^

    You can do that.

    I did that with my CPU. Bought the right type but wrong socket. They replaced it but all i had to do is pay the difference in cost between the two

    I'll try.. hope they got stocks though for the model that is compatible with my mobo coz as per kingston it's phased out.
