Unreliable service?

My game won't stay open when I afk. I'd like to afk lifeskill and gain pearls as well but the game crashes to client prematurely every time. There's been considerable server lag for me (half second delay on everything I do) and desync in combat (PVE) is very common. I dropped retail and started playing this roughly 4 days ago. I like the server, I like the passive pearls, but I don't know if I can stick with this server if I have to babysit my connection constantly. AFK lifeskilling is a huge part of BDO so this isn't looking very good.

 

I have a similar problem, win10 pro/VPN, but I think it might have something to do with the connection as my computer spits out a *DHCP-Host* error message when I restart after an AFK-crash.
