Updating Patch files stuck on 100%

I was playing the game yesterday then i went to work and when i came back i launch the game and the launcher says its updating patch files. I waited for an hour but its stuck on 100% and wont even let me exit says ''cant close while updating application''.

Please help.

 

Yeah I've also had the same problem for the past few days and have been unable to play, the status bar will say "Updating Patch Files... 100%" and just hang there indefinitely. this is the second time a patch has caused this problem. I am going keep the launcher open all night again in hopes that it will finish "updating".

 

I found a solution. Just make exceptions in your antivirus, windows defender and firewall
