Sauuron made the 3rd. Again I made one (this original) 24+ hours ago, it was being used yes, but I did NOT make it anywhere near the other. The 2nd one I made, yes, but its hot spam, shouldn't be a big deal. Even with the 3rd thread it shouldn't have been a big deal, or if it was those two could have been merged, but NOT two brand new spam threads with an old serious thread. And even then its STILL hot spam. 3 threads in the latest threads list should not be a problem when it is keeping players of this server entertained.

 

Its already done. Im not changing it.

 

I'm not saying you should change it, its already done as I said. I just want you to realize how silly it is.

Just to illustrate -
if I had personally spammed the thread continuously with my own accounts or by deleting my post and posting again, so that it was always in the latest threads without any other responses, THAT is bad spam and it should be deleted or whatever

otherwise:
people don't like post? they dont respond
people don't respond? post gets no recognition
post gets no recognition? it fades away and its not in latest posts lists

This forum isn't designed to filter out good and bad topics, especially since this is hot spam, designed for spam

As I said, the server is designed around the enjoyment of the players, you are a volunteer and as someone who previously used to be a player you should be able to take into account what its like for mods to be over protective of the forums

Moderating is not the act of deciding what content you want, as I said you guys are not content filters, you're here to make sure rules are not violated. Rules were not violated in this scenario, you chose to filter content because you don't want spam. You say the content of all the threads was the same but it was not.

The way content passes through is by that little "post reply" button. If enough people like a post, that post gets a lot of responses and it will stay in latest threads. If not, the thread dies and you don't have to worry about it.

As I said if I was myself spamming to bump a thread regardless of nobody caring about it then that would be pretty bad, but that wasn't the case, it was just some friendly spam that people were participating in, and there was still plenty of important threads that were being seen.
