What is better for Gladiator Spear Or Greatsword?

Actually the Orb/Tome debate is pure hogwash. Both can be used although on P-servers my honest experience with them would be
Tome is better for SM (more base Magic Accuracy)
Orb is better for sorc (more base Magic Boost + they usually also have a better HP bonus)
Although both can be used.

 

Just buy first the one you needed most depending on trips you are doing in the game. If raiding is what you always hangout with, then go spear. But buy the GS later because for me "weapon switching" is still the best way to maneuver a fight.
