What is going on with this BDO server?

I came here a few days ago after watching Epiphany stream and mentioning how the stream was to make devs aware of what the community wanted, etc.

Long story short, this server has tons of bugs. That is OK, as it is a private beta server.
My concern here is the lack of communication with players. We don't know what's to come, what to expect and what's being worked on.

I was a beta tester for a few games but they would give you "tasks", such as "today let's all do this". We would report the bugs, they would manage it server side and all done.

I also don't understand why there isn't a single post with a list of all known bugs, all being worked on or even a priority list. This not only helps the new players coming here, such as me, being told several times "that bug is known". I mean, known by who? Am I really required to read the whole bug section, posts 1 by 1 to know what's wrong?


To finish with my rant, I would just ask some more communication and general organisation. In return, for letting me entertain myself on your server, ask me anything and I'll test it!

This issue is far wider than it seems.

The current in-game staffing team consists of Noyah who works late from what I can see, so most of her activity comes from off-peak hours (could be wrong), she stated that there'd be two new GMs a few days ago but they've yet to be seen, I have reported countless of bugs, but when one gets fixed, another 10 appear - the current issue from what I've been told is the log-in launcher issues. And Epiphany, who in my eyes, uses this server to boost his stream and then goes on other games most of the time whilst pretending "this is what the community wants", despite nothing actually being changed - I've tried multiple times to sit down and talk to him about what exactly we can do to improve Valencia, like actually put pen to paper, but he's too wrapped up in Addicted-drama to even bother talking with me and seems to ignore nearly every conversation I attempt to make, sad, really.

The staffing team have been disassociated with the community for some time, there was some backlash with PEN Ogre Rings, so they've kinda given up or given the impression that they lack interest in the BDO server. This is my observation as an EU player, I cannot speak for NA times.

The community itself is also another issue - most people are playing to overgear people, PK at bosses or low level areas and brag about being the best despite bugs giving them huge advantages (looking at you Moving, switching from Zerk when you got called out to Maehwa, another bugged class.). We have people in server chat who openly admit to finding loot / silver exploits and refuse to report them so that a wipe takes longer to come (looking at you Loveyawhatnot, or whatever your name is).

Ultimately, no one is reporting bugs in the correct format - one guy got a response from a developer asking questions on how to replicate the bug and he responded with "do I get my items back?", people don't include the IDs in their bug reports, no full detail on how to replicate the bug.

Furthermore, people are lacking the motivation to play or strive to make this server succeed for the very reasons above.
- Lack of clarity with the team; are we going to get rewards for beta testing? If not, cool, if so, make it aware. Epiphany has said he's been "trying to get Carl to award 50k pearls to beta testers", but why the fuck would he reward people that aren't bug reporting?
- Will they start banning exploiters after the wipe? This should have started prior to wipe, but whatever.
- Why no new staffing members or in-game GM activity? 2 new staff members that never came.
- No date on the wipe, making people demotivated even further? "It will happen when all bugs are fixed", well shit, even official has unfixed bugs so I guess we'll indefinitely be on Beta?
- No path of what they are working on? This is in relation to the clarity issue.

I have mostly PEN gear, I can't kill anyone, they can't kill me unless they use bugs - fairly simple fixes aren't being made.
