Steins gate

would be the number one on my list 2013. Only because I use to be a big fan of time travel and curious if it was possible or not lol. At first I thought it would be boring because I'm more into action anime, turned out to be a very interesting anime. who knew being a mad scientist can be so fun and cool xD. Love the comedy in this anime too lol

Break Blade = Epic Mecha fights in a fantasy setting that makes sense.
Evangelion = It's Evangelion. Nuff said.
Gintama = It's the funniest anime I've ever seen. 200+ episodes of pure gold.
Gundam Wing = Moar Mecha. MOAR. And that mc be pro

 

Shingeki No Kyojin

So much death.

 

K so taking into consideration I pretty much dislike anime in general (acquired taste to dislike anime it seems), my favorite anime is Death Note. Why? Rather weird to explain this part but..... because it felt real. What I mean is, it gave me the feel that it was actually happening, and that it was not just another extremely exaggerated series(yeah even though there's a realm full of gods of deaths n shit). After that first feel, there was the feeling of divine justice, which I immediately identified with/found extremely appealing because of the violent nature of the country I live in, or rather the disastrous nature of humanity as a whole.

Yeah I've tried to watch other anime series after that one, and I've failed miserably lol. A friend's trying to get me to watch Shingeki no Kyojin and I might end up watching it, but it's not exactly something that I'm looking forward to, which is like the exact opposite reaction of everyone I've met that has started watching it.

I think my all time favorite anime has to be Shura no Toki, "**** your weapons, I'll beat you unarmed" is the literal definition of the style of fighting passed down to each main character throughout the story and they also throw in their take on a few historically famous people (Like Musashi and Jubei) and even has a love story. I'm not fond of anime where the main person has to use something besides themselves to fight, examples: Mechs, Cards and especially ****ing Pokemon. Be a man (or woman) and don't hide behind other shit to fight, just my way of thinking and that anime fits it well.
