People did complain about glads when they were OP. hell i even switched to chanter when they were OP. But gues what. They got nerfed. Now its Sorcs turn to get nerfed.

 

Sorc is the strongest class in gamezAion. I hit 7k non crit dmg on plate users with glacial shard. I can even prove it with SS..

Look at it this way..just make a sorc..thats what i did..lol

Sorcerers have been brutally insanely strong for a long time now, its just becoming blaringly obvious that they are to everyone now though.

In truth, if everything was balanced (player skill, gear, character class, etc) then the person would die 50% of the time and win 50% of the time.

After playing a sorcerer for a while, actually knowing the skill lists, etc... I can tell you that the sorcerer class is the single class that scares me in this server. And no, that is not "just very recently", its been that way before I even started playing Divinitus (My sorcerer).


Why?:

1.) Their M.R. and M.A. buffs are retarded. Elyos get 2 M.A. boosting abilities which help shred through M.R., and then throw ontop of it all a M.R. blasting sky high buff and tada.... you have a consistant sorc which can carry around ohh lets do some very rounded number crunching...

~2k M.R. with ABG set with m.r. stones. + Buff = 2.3k m.r. (and elemental resistance XD)

~1.5k M.A. (unless the sorc is a stooge and is using a orb (wtf?!)) + 1K M.A. = 2.5k M.A. = easy to cut through anyones M.R. ... unless you have the blessedly unique templar who -insists- upon stacking M.R. in a ABG chain set AND using his short-duration M.R. boosting buff.... but SERIOUSLY how often does that happen? Answer: Very fking rarely.


Therefore all M.R. stacking = useless. All M.A. stacking is also generally futile for other classes too. Resist every magical attack, and ignore everything else... pretty damned good deal????

2.) Instant cast glory, Frost snappy move thing and the summon rock ability, kite and use this shit. Also the close-range iceblasty thing is insanely cruel as well.

Tl;dr: I have had no issue killing people using instant cast abilities alone.

3.) Stunning barrage, welcome to pain anything without U.D.:
-Ice Chain
-Thunderbolt Arcane thing

Doesn't sound like much, huh? Well, it is.

4.) Insanely horribly annoying "Ultimate smashing death of ****ing doom".

HERE IS HOW TO DO IT.

Sleep, tree, sleepcloud... your various options, even root is an option! (Instant cast, root is!)

Sleep -> Delayed Blast -> Lava Tempest -> Aerial shackle thingy -> Glacial shard -> Crash them down.

They are definately dead at this point.

5.) Instant cast glory part 2...

"Glacial Spray Ferno" Asmodian sorcerers, and even elyos, can pretty much instant cast everything and ruin your life easily.

Combine a awesome title that gives you the best Cast speed bonus, Awakening scroll, Gloves with cast speed, orb/tome with cast speed, BoQ or vaziels....

6.) Defence? YOU TWITS COMPLAIN ABOUT DEFENCE ROFFFFFFFFLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL.

You make me ashamed.

#1: Defence means crap all in this game. PvP defence is all that matters, and last time I checked ABG cloth HAS PvP damage defence on it, NON?

#2: You can constantly have a stone-skin up, not to mention if you time it right you can have a stone skin up and then place another one up.

#3: You can mix HP into your build if you really feel the need to. Sorcerers can use POTIONS! (Abyss + Fine recovery serum? Nuff said.)

#4: Sorcerers can use a WIDE varierty of abilities to boost their defence. HP / MP swap, Barrier of severance, the other barrier thing I can't even think of.


#5: You have an instant cast ability to dodge two ****ing physical attacks.

Just shut up when saying "sorkz have no defence DURR DURR"


#6: Oh, I actually found this so damned obvious I forgot to add it.

STACK M.R. TO RESIST EVERY MAGICAL ATTACK CONCIEVEABLE.


#7: That icey shield barrier thing.


7.) Nearly-instant cast silence ability. Have good gear and use Vaziels... + Blind GS = GG all forms of damage.

It is almost hypocritical that a sorcerer can stack M.R., can boost their M.A. through the roof and can have the gall to silence other classes without worry.


Speaking as myself? the only thing I feared in Aion as a spiritmaster (my "best class") was a sorcerers silence. Cause nothing could stop it from landing, and nothing I had was faster (Save the instant fear which has a considerably (CRAZY MUCH LONGER) LONGER cooldown than their silence). Now you can tell me "use your resist move durr durr", any good sorc worth their title would blow wither summon rock or frost on me to remove that ability and then instantly hammer me with their silence.


Now stack a 10% blind GS (Bolvigs love) and GL to the melee targets who already need to hone in to your location to deal damage (other than rangers).


Combine this with sleep, stuns, roots, etc... GL getting hit.


Now here is

Playstyles:

I myself used any and all of them as they can be properly adapted to each and every situation.


1.) Fast caster... "Spell Singer"

Use insanely fast moves to rip apart people.

Example: The silence thing, the fast cast fire ability, arcane thunedrbolt, chains of ice... basically fast casting annoying abilities.

Brutally effective in getting that GS to proc, with good gear + title + scrolls + vaziels (****, even without vaziels) = tear a person a new ******* in seconds.

2.) Combo of Fking Death:


Essentially I described the most advanced one I came up with above.


Sleep-> Delayed Blast -> Lava Tempest (or whatever you want to call it!) -> Aerial shackle hold thing -> Glacial Shard -> Crash them down with FISTING power! (And, if fighting a gladiator or cleric or chanter, or even a templar... silence the motherfkcer before rcrashing them... OOH LOGIC!)

If they aren't dead at that time (somethow?), then please promptly use summon rock or frost.


And if they are using UD, i think you already understand how to properly fight this, no? If not, then hand me your ABG gears; you aren't worth them.

There are many others, but I feel that if I keep going I may have every sorcerer blush in embarassment.

Aegis well said but seriously you dont need abg to be strong as sorc. I previously said that i made a sorc cause right now its the strongest class. Im wearing anuhart..yes anuhart! And 2 glads on me cant do shit,i ll sleep them stun them root them and kill them before they make a single hit..Why i started playing a sorc? Because my main is a cleric..and at some point i was like ffuuuuu cause everytime i was against a sorc..my 2332 magic resist was useless..and even worse..all my attacks were getting resisted..erm ..

Sorcerer has also a skill called exchange vitality..if your life is down just click that and instantly your life will be exchanged with your mana..and that sucks too because everytime i dueled a sorc with my cleric and i survived all the crazy dmg and i managed to get that sorc life less than half,he would use exchange vitality or use pots etc..there we go again..bypass the magic resist + try to survive..

Smart move to make a sorc..seriously its fun and i feel like god even with a noob gear. xd

well said aegis, you did a great job proving ur point not just by words but also bu trying the class itself just to see how this class really works.....well the thing is, some or most of those things u mentioned are true and correct.......but either u forgot or really intend to mentioned, every class are op in itself.......take the case of the glads and the rangers, the most feared class of the sorcs at the moment......the insane damage "hack/bug of the glads can two shot any class especially the "glass cannon" class of the sorcs.....also the insane"range hack/bug" of the rangers are really so annoying and painful....... you also illustrate and mentioned the skills that makes the sorcs the nuker class in aion but u did not mentioned the fact that most would be sorc's are glads/ranger as their main and really don't know how to use their skills properly. also the annoying lag, higher ping and others that also contribute to the sorcs to as not really unleashing its true power as u say.......hope u could also make a dissimination of ur class as ur main character as it is so that u could also enlighten us all and not just concentrate ont he "OP" of the sorcs so that we can make a decent comparison.........so we can really determine if wat u say is true and the gospel truth.....that "SORCS ARE OP".......I SAY THIS SINCE U KEEP ON MENTIONING THAT ONCE U GET UR GEAR FROM LUCENT, AS A CHANTER U WILL BE "GODMODE"......so how does being sorc compete with a Godmode chanter if sorcs are really OP in the first place.........

Me in Teminon. If you know how to kill me in air, you get the free AP of a rank 3 sorc, being alone vs the pigeons (ya, when you land in there to lure people it looks like a pigeon nest - everyone open their wings one after another and start chasing you) that fly after him.

nerf glads/sorcs/templars, reduce skill damage up to 60percent in pvp that is.

 

im a sorc.. and i say yes sorc is op now.. i think they doing ninja update agin.. i did 7k crit using inferno glacial 8k++ flame spare same..

take note that im a full Mr lol..

i can 2 hit glads just pressing 1 2 tab 3 4 5 tab 6 7 tab Ctrl + 1 ( dp 4k ) press 9 and boom.. u have 50k ap

and if get zerged just use blind leap if stunned Rs then teleport agin there is also exchange vitality,,

to be honest sorc this days is hard to kill than glad or temp :O
