Excluding the first movie, it's really safe to assume that the two will almost never meet again. This is the original series btw, not Brotherhood.

That being said, it makes the whole journey look like an attempt in vain.

 

Brotherhood is pretty depressing.

Death Note was one of my favorite animes as I was watching it, I absolutely loved it.
Then ep 25 hit, and what happened then sucked and was shocking, but it would've made a good ending.
NOPE, they decide to change it up and try to keep it going, but all emotion from then on just died. The show was dead to me at that point, and the next (12?) episodes were hellish to get through. After finally getting to the last episode I wanted to kill someone because the ending was so efffing unfair.

 

To be fair, Ryuk was pretty tired from following Light around. He could've just written Light's name into his other notebook at any given time, but he didn't.

When Light snapped, it was over.

 

FMA was a disaster, FMA Brotherhood was a masterpiece I've seen both. You should too, you'll be really happy you saw it

Yes poor Hohenheim, felt really bad for him in Brotherhood

 

I've watched both, and I really couldn't like one more than the other. They were both really enjoyable, it's just that FMA took a different route than the manga, and it did work out in the end.


Now I'm indoctrinating my little cousins using good anime instead of the Shugo Chara and shitfest.

Started with FMA. I think I'm going down the right path.

 

I usually start people off with School Days

 

Can i skip FMA and watch Brotherhood without missing out on too much stuff?

I basically skipped Naruto because i hated how child like he was and watched Shippuden.. that was boss!

I also skipped like 5 seasons of Bleach, just after the whole puppet story arc crap and i came back in just before Ichigo fights ulquiorra and onward

 

death note was good but i prefer code geass, lelouch = god, light = simply human

 

Brotherhood and FMA are two entirely different stories, so it's safe to skip one for another.

 

FMA followed the manga until it got ahead of the manga so they had to end the series abruptly with an open ending which I didn't like it all. If you want the whole experience you don't need to watch FMA at all just skip it and watch Brotherhood, the ratings for both series don't lie. FMA got good ratings but Brotherhood is THAT much better

I did the same exact thing with Bleach, I skipped everything that remotely looked like fillers just to get to the cool fight scenes because Hollow Ichigo is just too awesome

 

That fight when he goes abit nutz in against ulquiorra was insane and so against his character it was boss.
