    and so the zerg began.... abusing is using it like a wild animal in a 3v1 where he has no chance anyway , i mean you could just use more dots instead of all that fear

    Disable from running? Protect yourself? Don't spout that crap. Fear stops your enemy from doing ANYTHING. This removes the chance of any skill being utilized whatsoever in order to win a battle. This allows a 10 year old in anuhart disarm a full ABG player with 20ms.

    Does the SM ever not get the first hit? 90% of the battles with SM's involve it starting with curse of fire. 6 second INSTANT fear? I mean seriously, what the ****?

    You can't even compare stumble and aerial to fear. Fear is on a different level. Nobody can use remove shock to get out of fear. Nobody can use the advantages of remove shock to not get feared. Fear doesn't have any counter to it. Once you're feared, the battle is over. Once Fear Shriek cast bar appears, the battle is over. Gotta love that part where interrupting cast bar doesn't stop the spell from happening.

    Oh what's this? You want to escape fear? GL getting 16 movement speed (required to get 45m from SM in time) with all of those debuffs/slows.

    Go ahead, spam your fear. Just know that everyone will think of you as "that noob."

    I don't understand why you guys are getting so butthurt over it, it's a skill on Aion get over it, or else NCsoft would have to remove every skill on all classes that are according to the players "OMG SO NOOOOOB GET IT OUT OF THE GAME NAOZ"

    No, zerg happens because there's too much players.That's all to it.

    In a SM's point of view there is a need to fear someone when he knows he is to be targeted first than the others. On my part I don't really use fear as much as others do but I try to see things especially on a 2on1 pvp which of the 2 should be feared first.

    right because a melee will always catch the ranged class first right? and why so much hate on templars ? they got the lamest KD ever one is a cast ffs and even after that you need to change to a GS so you actualy hit for some dmg since mace BP is lame. glad kd is a wee bit more op but ignite aether (for the scrolls) + chain of earth gives you a 2x speed differance so you can kite the sad thing till you fearlock or just run around the entire map and shred his nerves

    Then you're a bad player and need to improve. I see a lot of good players out there able to get the first hit on SM's. DO realize these fears has longer recharge time. Instant fear is only as effective every 5 minutes the rest, you can always interfere while casting.

    From a non-SM like ofc you would think that fear is blah blah. But seriously you don't know how annoying it is when you fear someone and the char runs very fast and the second you get in range, the fear is already gone. Lucky if there are terrains that you can use to make the feared char stuck but most of the time it is not like that.

    LOL. You're "Everybody will think of you as noob" fallacy does not work. A player who enjoys the game never really think he's a pro. BTW I don't really see the point of ranking people when you're playing in a full stigma system. If you play in Lumiel then I think there's a need to, but Siel? O_O

    5month retail sm ^^. now 5min cd eh ? well whenever the sm pops that instant fear its a 90% certain death , regening takes lets say 1-2mins and comming back to the same spot or just meeting up with the same char takes between 2-15mins (depending on kisk spot and zone) so most times its ready for abuse.And im talking about at least half-skilled sms here not nabs who run into you directly with shriek.Oh and any sm who fails to fear or at least slow down a melee deserves to die and has no right to complain because you can kill any melee with one hand as an sm.Also "protip" for fearing : slow him before/quickly after you fear him -_- or even root and go to melee range (good idea if you wanna shriek next)

    lol. Then Im sure you have not looked at every angle. That is only applicable when you have a freshly login SM without facing another opponent. But if you look at it at someone who meet a lot in the way and until he gets to you then you wouldn't think so otherwise. OFC. I am not stupid enough to render other skills useless.

    Funny thing for someone like you who played SM in retail you're still giving a funny yet stupid advice. In my case when someone gets in my 25m range the first thing to do is cancel necessary buffs. Then my combo follows. I would like to listen to your ironic advice but thanks, I think it is more appropriate to not copy the way how you pvp.

    It's impossible to kill an SM 1v1 unless silence GS procs right away. If I don't KD them, I'm insta-feared and the battle is over. If I do KD them, he uses remove shock. The important question here is: do I really need to rely on a godstone proc? Why can't I fight SM like I do the other classes without worrying about getting feared for 30 seconds+?

    Learn to play without Fear? You criticize my skill yet you can't do anything unless someone is feared? Oh wait! Feared isn't good enough! They need to be stuck too!

    Roll another class. I dare you. I ****ing dare you. The level of skill required to do well with SM is a whole lot lower than any of the other classes, including Sorcerer.

    Konichi, you just admitted that you can't PvP unless your opponent is feared and stuck. You are a noob.

    To elaborate from my own point of view:

    I never catch an SM again within 5 minutes of him killing me. I always go back to the same spot to look for him, but they always run away and hide until fear is back up.

    Excuse me your highness for foolishly suggesting things to do in a set situation.well gee gee there.The first skill as fear/buff removal is situational:lets say a ranger charges at you - most times hes going to try and use silence arrow and that buff removal could be a lethal mistake (could also try with body root vs phys anyway)And yes im talking about a "fair" 1v1 otherwise you can take into account everything ranging from gear and ms to personal experience.Seeing as how you said that temps and glads could take the first hit on you it might actualy not be such a bad idea to listen to my advice and "copy the way i pvp".

    Oh I see someone raging over a game. And no you have mislead what I just said. There's no mentioning of me can't play without fear I was obviously and very obviously stating what happens when you fear someone.

    Not being able to kill an SM in a 1on1? Then you seriously need to learn more from others. Oh BTW I forgot to mention you should keep another set in your char (MR) so you wouldn't QQ everytime you are being feared.

    BTW The only class I haven't seriously played is Glad. My main is Cleric. There's no point telling you how I play my SM. If you think SM's is purely Fear then it's not for you. Like I said I'm a type of player who utilizes all available skills and that includes my effective way of using my Spirit and it skills.

    Of course it is situation based. I am talking about melee types since that has been the center of the discussion here. Of course you use another combo for range classes. You see I always take into consideration what type of enemy I am facing and what buffs he had. Using my available skills effectively I can still hold rangers skills for about 3-5 attacks with the help of my spirit and stone skin if recharged. Which also gives me the time to remove cure debuffs.

    AS for you advice thanks but no thanks. You should try learning how to slot other ManaStones sometimes or get another set not just crit/attack combo.

    Oh, tried full MR. Doesn't work as well as you think it does.

    Glads and Temps need to be within 5m with you if you happen to have an extendable, closer without one. They have to be off full CD (3 minutes each stumbles), and their target has to not have UD, Shields, or any other skills that resist stumbles. Then once they get kded, they have to make sure that their Remove shock is on CD, or that they get silenced by their GS. SMs can press a button from 25m away and instant win.
