Why Geeks & Nerds Are Worth It

i think something went wrong in my relationship, im the nerdy one there x: but i think that's okay, as long as i dont live just from PC and air. as long as i pay enoug attention to the man of my sleepless nights and the deepest dremas, everything's a'ight!

+ a gf who can repair ur PC gets glory! YESH! xD

I wouldn't go out with Sheldon for the sole reason that he would drive me up the wall, having no emotional nor social capacity xD However Leonard is a completely separate case. He's actually quite cute~<3

If he had a good personality and genuinely cared about me, it wouldn't matter what kind of socially defacing qualities he had =)

 

i love that me and my bf can game together, talk about silly internet related things, we fall asleep to someone streaming something on JTV as background noise now THATS nerdy XD if a guy wasn't at all nerdy or played videogames i don't think i could relate to him at all lol

 

i kinda felt insulted

 

You know I'ma just come out and say it .________.

I myself am a 100% nerd and geek.

I love dragon age origins, I personally attempted to seduce Alistair for at least (many) hours on end, I love a variety of music, when in conversation if someone brings up how people only use 20% of the time I lecture them for 10 minutes on end, if a movie brings up an untruthful statement about a disease or protrays it badly I feel the need to inform the "public" that it is inaccurate, I sit in my room for at least a good 70% (at least) of the time I am at home.

Range of activities done: Skyrim, deus ex, the witcher, etc. Not crappy games like COD5 (which are a hit with "non-nerds" especially).

I post walls of text on over 20 different forums.


While I may not possess the best face, I at least possess the capacity for higher-thought.

While I may nerd out on video games, at least I am not out screwing others.

While I particularily am fond of a rather "gross" act (neurosurgery), I do know and love to cook for entertaining (Oh, never for myself, I'll cook myself a michalenas before I even touch an oven with a 10-ft poll).

Even if that big guy intimidates me, I still know exactly where to hit his spine to take him down like he was a 2 year old. Oh, that and every random (tiny) nuclei in his brain and how to rip them out with the best precision science has today.

Perhaps searching for meme's online for hours on end is odd, but it is better than searching for hours on rape-porn, like a lot of "non-nerds" do.

Opposed to crap music like rap, justin bieber, and having my "personal favourite deep dark secret band" be DISTURBED.... I have a wide variety of music I pride myself on. Oh? You've probably never heard of them anyhow. (Conversation point)

While I may be updated to the newest and most powerful phone, and have knowledge of all of its functions; I can have you assured when we are spending time together I won't be on it the entire time!

Oh I agree! Society these days is so hyped up on "being your best" that a solid 80% of the first (many) dates are 100% bullcrap.

That is also why divorce rates are so high, because no one can keep up the act for too long.

Actually... if someone is "too perfect" then it makes me think the opposite of them. Everyone has character flaws, and someone that doesn't? Well, then its obvious that its a show.

 

I completely agree as well. If you plan on spending the rest of your life with someone, it'd better be a person you can relate to and are comfortable being open with. I think it's really important to be yourself, especially when you're in a relationship - if you falsify your appearance or personality, well like you said, people can't keep that up forever and it's only a matter of time before it falls apart. Honesty and openness are big factors in successful relationships.

 

Most Geeks have the ability to discuss for many subjects but most of them are shy cause some people show to the world that geeks/nerds are stupid.example:Most teenage and pre-teenage shows/series/movies related to school gives the idea to people tha nerds/geeks are the weirdo ugly guy with the glasses and mentally retard who cant even discuss a thing....so HOW THE HELL THEY GET HIGH GRADES IF THEY ARE MENTALY RETARD?......The geek cant do anything in this world.....if he/she havent born as beatiful or sexy or rich he cant be popular or not beeing the one who gets bullied.even if he change style,cloths he will always be the geek/nerd cause his/her community is short-minded and cant see what person someone is.Its like a teenage slave.....thats our disgusting soceity that im shame for at least being a human

Im not looking for a woman who is beautiful coz i had experienced that i dont want to make it in detail that have change my perspective about "beauty" what matter most in relationship is Love,Trust, Respect and Acceptance between both of you. i dont want to be alone forever maybe death do us part who know who can be our last true love with.,

 

There's nothing wrong in dreaming of a "fairy tale love" - there's no harm in hoping for the best. Everyone's definition of happiness comes in a unique form; my "prince charming" is in school for pharmacy, spends 80% of his time gaming, is somewhat socially awkward, and loves me unconditionally. That is reality in my books =)
