Wow. Problems with FPS

    I have a ATI HD Radeon 5870. Yeah. Don't think my graphics card is a problem. I max out every single game I play on my computer, with above 30 FPS.

    For some reason, at 1080p I get like 14-16 FPS. WTF?

    I've never had a problem like this before. Pretty sure that if I can max out Crysis on high settings with 30+ FPS, shouldn't be getting 14 on this game.

    What is the problem?

    I have an i7, and ati 5870.

    Max out at 30? Lulz, dude that ain't even to good. Most game the true max for fps is 125 or some games even 200. 30 fps is not good at all.

    I have something similar with some games. Normally I can max out almost every game, but at 2 games so far it is amazingly low ping'd. Weird :/

    I wouldn't know. I wouldn't waste my time or money on an ATI video card.

    Have you tried updating to the latest driver or even downgrading to an older driver? Usually fixes the problems. Had the same issue on my laptop and the older drivers worked better. More than doubled my frame rate.

    i play with at least 80 in crouded areas ... even on retail with fortraids of over 2thousand peoplel i get lik like 55 fps

    Ditto. Quadcore for the win! :lol:

    It's got to be your video card drivers. I've heard horrible things about the drivers. Horrible bloatware. The cards perform well when you can get them working properly tho.

    I agree on this. Nvidia all the way man. ATI just isn't worth it to me.

    Yeah i get around 60-80 fps on here as well. ONLY trip i lag though is when i am running like 5 different things. So i know my fps isn't causing me to lag.

    Don't have to be a jerk about it, brute. I see you got banned since you replied to me. Oh well.

    I really couldn't begin to diagnose this. I guess I could try downgrading the drivers, since, all I have now are the latest ones out.

    I seem to have no other problem with any other game though. Very weird. I'll try to the last stable drivers then.
