WTB > Banning team?

I dont know what you guys think about it but hackers are really ruining this server. There's hardly ever GM's online and when they are they are overwhelmed with things to do, so they dont have time to search for hackers (from what I've seen anyways).

I heard some private servers have "banning teams", GM's that exist for the sole purpose of jailing hackers. I'm quite certain that a considerable amount of people would be willing to give their time to "Purifying" the server.

Here's my suggestion:
1. Discuss the subject with the main GM's responsible for this server.
2. Establish what is necessary and how it can be done.
3. Write a procedure to follow when banning a hacker (getting proof with fraps will save you from wrongly banning someone and power abuse)
4. Recruit people through an "interviewing" process on both asmodian and elyos side.
5. Get rid of the hackers! (at least diminish their numbers...)

 

You mean like an Aion police force? lol

 

I think it's a good idea, a server I'm not gonna name had people constantly on to catch hackers, people were scared to death to speedhack. =)

Make a scrips so it detects the ppl who are ussing the command ( dont know if possible i never learned java only html) Maybe add scammers to that list (of course of with solid proof)

 

GMs are to busy doing [/startsarcasm] important [/endsarcasm] events.

 

I haven't seen an event in weeks. Maybe it's just my luck.

 

I would like to be a part of "Anti Scamming Police Force" if such thing would be ... after this incident with some random impersonating me , a really trusted trader , it seems this server needs more people to deal with scammers ...

I think from now on i will try not to flame anymore , and show my real face to the masses too , as the guy who really cares about his friends and trade partners , maybe i will be able to help the masses ingame as well

A "Trade mediators" group would be really needed now , and i would be happy to be a part of this , meaning that some ppl ( who proved already that they`re trusted by doing loads of trade ) can mediate some big trades if they`re online and ppl asks them for help , by taking first the items / kinah from both parts , then splitting as it should be , making the trade safe .

Those "trade mediators" shouldn`t have any powers except a different color tag on forum , there is no need for ban / other commands since all they will do is mediating trades .
But if the ones who wants to make a trade cancel their thread for any reasons , they should have a section where they can ask few hours prison time for people who wasted their time , not for both but for the one who cancelled the deal ...

So for example if someone wanted to scam and offered a huge ammount of kinah , like "i offer 40b for 2k kinah , but you give first" then when the seller calls the Trade Mediator and the buyer goes out , we can request prison time for that character , and we also can request to a GM to check their warehouse bankroll to see if he really had that ammount and he just changed his mind or it was 100% scam attempt .

 

I'd definitely like a Banning team. xD

 

Yeah thats sounds like a good idea too, brain. I'm happy to hear people are willing to get involved. All we need is a bit of support and organisation.

 

you dont need a special force..otherwise it will lead to abuse power abuse u only need a gms that are actives like 2-3 gms a day willing to watch outy:

If there is a chace to become Gm and clean the server im IN.I have a lot of free time (still looking for a job ç_ç) and i play aion about 5/6 hours/day and when my girlfriend is at work i play about 7-8-9 hours/day.

 

id love a Bannign team i woudl glady be a part og that for sure i knwo i may not have many posts on forums but i have played game for awhiel now

 

purify the aion world? your gonna need the mothership from starcraft 2 to do that lol jk sounds like a awesome(really it is) idea and they can have ninja suits to blend in (no sarcasm srsly)

 

the only active gm i can say in elyos is zodake.. carl needs to give chance others that are willing to help the server like raybunny or others that are active..cos its been months we dont see any events a lot of people pissed off... they need to work for this or people will get tired and leave
