Solved x.x help.

x.x so im starting to think im absolutely horrible with technology. I downloaded the items pack thing. deleted the retail one and extracted the 3 files into the Item folder. When i try to run gamez aion it tells me it failed to initialize the game Aion[ 1024 ]. i dunno what i did wrong but i followed the steps correctly.

 

That happens when you install it in the wrong place and delete the old item.pak.
Did you by any chance install the 3 XML files inside Aion/Data/Items, and not Aion/Data/USA/Items?

 

OH lol wow. im dumb. yep thats what i did.

 

If you can, restore the item.pak that you deleted from Aion/Data/Items from your recycling bin. If it's already gone from your recycle bin too, I am also uploading mine right now so you can copy it inside your folder (just a headsup so you can find it easier, the item.pak that was inside Aion/Data/Items, should be around 53k KB).

Until it's uploaded, please put the 3 XML files inside Aion/Data/USA/Items, and make sure that these 3 are the only files that exist in that folder
