Zzzzz random ping

Loading a pvp vid atm so my ping is at like 1k+ so decided to make a thread on it :O. How do guys with ping this high even manage to get to 55 >.>? Anyways back to main point, lately my ping has been all over the place. It's gone from 65-200 and I just have a simple question since I know nothing about internet speeds and crap. Do graphics effect ping? or does it only effect lag? Recently I found that lag =/= ping and it mostly happens when I'm in overcrowded places. Even still when I lower my graphic settings it seems my ping lowers while fighting. Anyone else notice something similar or am I just crazy about graphics effecting ping? :s

 

No fps doesnt cause lag or the opposite

 

As far as I know, FPS is based off you graphics card, has nothing to do with ping.

200 ping, thats it?? lol when i play WoW it sometimes will hit over 2k lmao and mysteriously go down real fast lol

 

maybe for those guys can do nothing their ping... they simply not bother it.... cuz they still leveling up time to time...^_^v
for those guys who have problem on their graphics card... the last resort for them is turn off the shadow and aliasing...

 

Nice to know, then while on the topic you know any ping fixes besides wow leatrency?I'm always afraid to go in to my comp and try speeding it up myself x_x

 

I usually just reset my router if it starts **** with me then i'll hit it if it still goes slow.

 

Battleping does the job real good.

I play with 600-800 ping right now since mine expired, and that's with Leatrix.

With Battleping I get 200-300 ping, which is decent enough.

i am using pingbetter with 30 days trial. i usually plays 700-800 ms but with pingbetter i have 300-400ms which is better than the previous ones. however, it expires after 30 days. and now i am back to 700-800 ms. sad!

i mean, ive had 300+ ping ever since i started, with high graphics (i cant stand crap quality), i only tend to lag in places where there a lot of people ESPECIALLY zergs --"

and min. took me 2 days to lvl my chanter with around 400 ping cause i kept getting distracted <--- Yes i was lvling in a place isolated from everybody else >:{3 !

 

i have read some thread about lowering your ping manually, but in return your download speed is at risk... but be very careful coz this manual process is touching your registry of your OS. ^_^V yeah it works. before i manually configured my unit and uses pingbetter i have like 1102 ms. same ping whenever i restart modem... then i used and took risk of doing the manual configuration of lowering the ping. and it did worked from 1102 ms i have 700-800 ms. and with the help of pingbetter i got 300-400 ms. but then again pingbetter expires!!!
